Made a new bridge crane with logging for solid fuel boiler

In March 2019, together with the French representative office of Enertex, whose main activity is the development and engineering in the field of power engineering (heating and water supply), the specialists of the «Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC» launched another solid fuel boiler in Ukraine.

One of the key stages in the technological cycle, namely: loading of biomass (wood chips) into the combustion bunker is carried out by a bridge crane with a timber harvesting model KMg-5,0-20,0-7,0-A5 produced by «Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC». Our permanent partner, the famous Bulgarian company Podem, supplied the main components for the new crane equipment:

• lifting mechanism - electric rope hoist type 5MT312 H7 V4 4/1 SN 21 20;
• crane movement mechanism - drive group of type MA / TP.

To ensure the smooth lifting and lowering, closing of the grab, as well as the movement of the trolley and crane, the specialists of «Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC» used frequency converters made by Schneider Electric (France) with brake resistors. The use of such frequency inverters allows you to completely eliminate the swaying of goods, significantly reduces the load on the metal structure of the crane and its mechanical components.

Current lead to the trolley - cable, on a hard profile; the current lead to the crane equipment along the shop is cable, on a rigid profile like Festoon. The grab crane is controlled by a radio control system.

The main characteristics of the new grab crane:

• lifting capacity - 5.0 tons;
• lifting height of the logging system - 7.0 m;
• span - 20.0 m;
• lifting speed - 4.0 m / min;
• closing speed - 8.0 m / min (frequency inverter);
• trolley traveling speed - 20.0 m / min (frequency inverter);
• the speed of movement of the crane - 30.0 / 10.0 m / min (two-speed drive).

Thanks to the production plan, the installation and commissioning of the new crane equipment were carried out in the shortest possible time. The statistical and dynamic tests confirmed the high quality and reliability of the crane. After delivery to the Customer, the crane has been registered and is now being successfully operated.
