In June of this year, the staff of the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC manufactured 3 bridge cranes for one of the largest Ukrainian enterprises for the production of metal structures of varying complexity, namely: a bridge double-girder crane of the KM-12.5-22.5-10.0-A5 model with a lifting capacity of 12, 5 tons and single-girder overhead cranes of the models KMO-5.0-22.5-10.0-A5 and KM-12.5-22.5-10.0-A5 with a loading capacity of 5 and 12.5 tons respectively.
After a detailed study of the purpose of the necessary crane equipment, as well as the technical specifications of the Customer, Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC specialists developed design documentation, which took into account all the features of the technological processes in which it was supposed to use new cranes. In particular, the installation on them of two-speed mechanisms for lifting-lowering and moving hoists, as well as frequency converters for adjusting the speed of movement of cranes, was provided in order to ensure the most accurate positioning of the large-sized moving parts.
Control of single-girder cranes with a lifting capacity of 5 and 12.5 tons can be carried out both with the help of a radio control system and a suspended backup console, which ensures a more comfortable and safe operation of the crane operator.
The basic equipment of each of the 3 cranes was as follows:
- flying bridge - made at Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC;
- electric rope hoist, crane trolleys, end beams - manufactured by Podem company (Bulgaria);
- electrical equipment - Schneider Electric (France);
- cable products - Carpel (Italy);
- electric cable and busbar supply systems - closed type trolls.
Special attention was paid to ensuring safety, for which the following devices were installed:
- limit switches for lifting and lowering and movement of hoists and cranes;
- load limiter;
- anti-pushing device;
- emergency stop;
- key brand.
Thanks to the carefully developed project of production of works (PPW) and the high skill of the staff of the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC, the production of cranes, as well as their installation and commissioning, were completed as soon as possible. The high quality of the crane equipment was confirmed by comprehensive statistical and dynamic tests, after which all 3 new bridge cranes were put into operation and are currently working successfully.
