Overhead bridge crane for a feed mill

The team of the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC designed, manufactured and installed an overhead crane, as well as a trolley current supply to it for the enterprise, which is a leader in the production of finished compound feeds in Ukraine.

The main task of the crane is unloading and loading big bags with various feeds from vehicles onto the storage site. Having calculated the necessary time for unloading cars, taking into account their full workload, our experts selected the following technical characteristics for crane equipment:

  • carrying capacity - 10.0 t;
  • crane span - 16.4 m;
  • crane base - 2.5 m;
  • lifting height - 4.97 m;
  • lifting speed - 4.0 m/min;
  • hoist speed - 20.0 m/min;
  • crane movement speed - 40.0 / 10.0 m/min.

Crane complete set:

  • trolley type MT525, end beams of type GO1 with drive group type MA/TP - manufactured by Podem (Bulgaria);
  • span bridge (welded beam of box-type production) - Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC production;
  • limit switches hoist lowering;
  • trailer switches of movement of a waist and crane;
  • load limiter;
  • light and sound alarm.

Crane control - from the pendant, plus a redundant radio control system. To ensure the smooth movement of the crane (with or without cargo), a two-speed drive group of the MA/TP type was used (with a micro speed of 10.0 m/min and a nominal speed of 40.0 m/min).

Special attention was paid by our factory designers to the current supply of the crane power supply. Given its length (namely, 72 m), a closed-type trolley current supply solution was proposed and implemented. The crane lifting mechanism is powered by a cable current lead on a rigid galvanized profile of the Festoon type.

This crane was mounted in an existing building, on a finished crane run (square 50*50). After studying the features of the building, the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC assembly team developed a production plan for the installation using a truck crane.

Installation of a new crane and its commissioning were carried out as soon as possible, static and dynamic loads confirmed the reliability of the design. The crane was put into operation, delivered to the Customer and registered on the basis of the provided permits.
