Three bridge cranes were manufactured for a plant for manufacturing equipment for manufacturers of PET containers

The good news is for the whole of Ukraine: another factory has opened in our country, the main focus of which is the production of equipment for manufacturers of all kinds of PET containers: soft drinks, dairy products, household chemicals and cosmetics, as well as other similar products.

This Customer turned to the specialists of the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC plant for the possibility of solving a set of issues on the design, manufacture and installation of lifting equipment. The main purpose of the new bridge cranes is to provide the possibility of assembling equipment, transporting blanks, as well as servicing machines.

Having studied in detail the purpose of the cranes and the Customer’s technical assignment, our designers provided for the installation of two-speed hoisting and lowering mechanisms and hoist movements in the new bridge cranes, as well as frequency regulation of the travel speed thanks to asynchronous three-phase electric motors with a cylindrical rotor produced by our permanent partner - Schneider Electric (France).

 It was made 3 bridge bearing crane - with a lifting capacity of 5.0 and 2.0 tons. The basic equipment of new cranes:

• respectively - models 5MT312 and 2MT310 hoists produced by PodemCrane (Bulgaria);
• trailer beams of the GO1160-1500-V1 model - the same producer;
• the whole set of electrical equipment - Schneider Electric (France);
• electric cable products - Carpel (Italy);
• span bridge (box-type beam) and current collector - Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC.

The control of new bridge cranes is carried out with the help of 6-button suspension consoles. Each crane is in motion due to the presence of a closed-type trolley current lead, the delivery and installation of which was also realized by specialists of the Kyiv Crane Machinery Plant LLC. Special attention was paid to safety devices, namely the following equipment was installed on the crane equipment:

• limit switches for lifting and lowering and movement of hoists and cranes;
• load limiters;
• thermal protection of engines;
• main contactor in the circuit;
• phase control relay;
• emergency stop,
• key brand.

Thanks to a detailed plan of the project of work (PPW) and the high skill of our employees, the installation and commissioning works were carried out as soon as possible. The high quality of the installed crane equipment was confirmed by static and dynamic tests, after which the bridge cranes were handed over to the Customer and successfully commissioned. At the moment, both cranes are being successfully operated on serviced work sites.
